Construction Working Group 

What is the Construction Working Group?

The resident-led Construction Working Group has been formed with White City Estate residents. The group will help manage the four-year construction process if the White City Central plans get planning permission.

 

Group members are involved in the council’s procurement process and will receive support and training to learn more along the way. The final selection of contractor will consider a range of factors including resident input. 

The Construction Working Group is chaired by a local resident. The group has been holding monthly evening meetings on the estate to discuss:

  • questions to ask the building contractor during the selection process

  • the best way for the contractor to communicate with residents

  • how community priorities can shape the social value provided by the contractor

  • how the construction phase can be considerately managed to minimise disruption for residents
