Come and see the updated plans for White City Central

We are holding update events in April to share the latest plans for the project. Following this, we are expecting to submit a planning application in May.

 

When:      Thursday 18 April 4pm - 7pm

Saturday 20 April 11am - 3pm

​

Where:     Housing Office Foyer, New Zealand Way, W12 7DE

 

The drop-in event will be a chance to:

  • See the latest designs for Bridget Joyce Square

  • See the proposed images for the central block which has been reduced in height from nine to six storeys

  • View the updated 3D model of the whole project

  • See the plans for the Temporary Community Hub that will serve the local service providers during the construction phase

  • Ask the team any questions you have about the project.

A Construction Working Group has been formed with White City Estate residents. Group members will be involved in the council’s procurement process and will receive support and training to learn more along the way.

​

The Construction Working Group is chaired by a local resident. The group has been holding monthly evening meetings on the estate to discuss:

  • questions to ask the building contractor during the selection process

  • the best way for the contractor to communicate with residents

  • how community priorities can shape the social value provided by the contractor

  • how the construction phase can be considerately managed to minimise disruption for residents

Members of the Design Team and the council will be at the housing office every other Thursday 11am-5pm. Come in and say hi if you have any questions about the project.
