Planning application

The council's planning application was submitted in July 2024 and consent was granted on 30 June 2025.

A Construction Working Group has been formed with White City Estate residents. Group members will be involved in the council’s procurement process and will receive support and training to learn more along the way.

​

The Construction Working Group is chaired by a local resident. The group has previously held monthly evening meetings on the estate to discuss:

• questions to ask the building contractor during the selection process

• the best way for the contractor to communicate with residents

• how community priorities can shape the social value provided by the contractor

• how the construction phase can be considerately managed to minimise disruption for residents
